Who can find you?

Opted-in Relay devices with the same public network hint can see your name. This does not scan your Wi-Fi: VPNs, shared internet connections and IPv6 can produce missing or unexpected matches.

Your name and matching details expire after 5 minutes. After you both confirm, WebRTC exchanges network addresses with the other device and Google’s STUN service to set up the direct link.

Files and text stay on the direct connection.
